Still Waiting 5/16/12

It’s been over a month since the Disney Parks Blog released their spell card “spoiler” list and there has still been no word on when we can expect the return of the ultra rare 61-70.  With all of the rumors surrounding these cards one thing is certain, people will still continue to pay big money for them on a secondary market such as eBay or Craigslist.  If Disney does intend on selling cards in the future I’d imagine they’d want to get them out asap, as it’s not in their nature to leave money on the table.  However we are almost 3 months in to this attraction being officially open and the only merch we’ve seen is an overpriced mediocre card binder.  As much as I visit the parks and check out the Disney Parks Blog they’re still no merchandise information regarding Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom.  With the curiosity and anticipation brewing by the day people are chomping at the bit to spend money.  Like most of you I’m not sure what the hold up is.

  1. I’m still trying to complete the first 60. Now that we have a substantial collection, out of 10 new cards we are lucky if we get even one card that we dont have. We were at the parks this last weekend with some friends and out of the 6 packs we only got about 3 or 4 new cards. We’ve decided to try and create a spell book for each of the two of us and it helps getting doubles, but it makes it difficult for trading. Is there a chance that we will be able to do trading on We still need quite a few sta cards and two remaining standard cards for set number one. Bolt and Cinderella to be exact.

    • Doing trades online never really ends well. You never know if your going to get your card or what condition it will be in. I would say the best chance you have is to head on over to Tortuga Taverns on the weekends and you can almost always find someone trading. Generally they are more then happy to help you get the cards you need.
